“xnti, crying at the party”
xnti started making music in November 2023, after realizing something a lot of artists never say out loud: you don’t have to be special to start. Inspired by rebzyyx and her friend decaying4u, she jumped into the scenecore world and came out with a sound she calls “Jungle Pussy Pop,” a name she borrowed from Mindless Self Indulgence and openly admits doesn’t mean much. What does mean something is her album “an angel?”, which follows a relationship from the honeymoon phase to the parts that hurt. We talked with xnti about her name, the song she almost kept to herself, and what it’s really like inside the scene right now.
When and why did you start making music?
i started making music in november 2023. honestly, the 2 main reasons why were the need for a replacement for rebzyyx as he stopped making music (which i am obviously not, no one can replace rebzy & i stopped focusing on that goal a long time ago) and my friend "decaying4u" making music while being a normal usual human being, thats when i realised random people like me can be music artists too
Where does the name “xnti” come from?
it’s literally just my old nickname vnti but with the v replaced by an x lmao. theres no crazy story behind it, i just liked how it looked

How would your closest friends describe you in three words?
probably funny, lazy and lazy again.
You’ve described your sound as “Jungle Pussy Pop.” What three sounds or feelings make a track fit that?
the name "jungle pussy pop" was stolen by me from mindless self indulgence, they call their music "industrial jungle pussy punk" so i just turned that into pop it doesnt really fit any of the "jungle" "pussy" or "pop", its just jungle pussy pop.
If your music were a place, what would it look like?
probably some random house party where everyones having the time of their life but 1 person is having an emotional breakdown in the bathroom
What’s the story behind “lovesong,” and how did the collaboration with v4mpirz and Rebzyyx come together?
lovesong is actually part of a bigger story. my album “an angel?” is basically about different stages of a relationship, and lovesong is the honeymoon phase, when everything feels perfect. rebzyyx produced the song and v4mpirz was featured on it.
“uncertainty” and “my personal ecstasy” feel like opposites. What were you going through when you made each one?
uncertainty is more about losing someone, feeling stuck in the past and not knowing what to do with yourself. my personal ecstasy is more about having feelings for someone, struggling to understand them because youre autistic. they r different emotionally but both are kinda ab not knowing where you stand with someone
Is there a song you almost didn’t release?
nobodyelse; shits some romeo and julia type shit. 2 people in love not being understood by the world killing themselves by jumping of a bridge - i dont like writing about suicide/sh stuff, so i backed down from releasing it, i finally released it after a ton of people i sent a snippet to told me to
How do you feel about the music scene you’re part of right now?
its awesome and bad at the same time. made a ton of friends here but the scenecore community is filled with weirdos
What’s the most useful thing you’ve learned about promoting yourself?
to find the solution you have to understand the problem. the problem is no one is going to listen to you if you don't post enough on social media. i have made my own solution that posts lyric videos for me on 3 tiktok accounts every single day.
What’s the most surprising or meaningful message you’ve had from a listener?
i dont think i could pick just one, but knowing that people relate to my music means a lot to me. it's kinda insane that something i made alone in my room can mean something completely different to somebody on the other side of the world
What song do you know every word to that would surprise people?
a ton of post hardcore & emo songs, i could sing any silverstein song word by word
If you performed tomorrow, what song would you open with?
lovesong. its actually the song im planning to open my first ever live show with in warsaw this november
Why should someone who has never heard of you press play on your music today?
i think my music is a pretty weird combination of things you wouldnt normally put together. i make energetic electronic music with lyrics that can get personal, and i dont really try to fit into one specific sound. you might love it, you might hate it, but its always worth a listen
