“He hates his producer name. people still play his beats on repeat”
wingsxrra started making beats in 2024 with no help and no plan. now people play them on repeat like songs.
When and why did you start to make beats?
- My first time genuinely trying to make a beat was probably in mid-2024, making emo rap-type beats. They were obviously horrible, and I only made a few of them. It was also around the time I started getting more into music as a whole, because before that era I was a really casual listener. I was actually more interested in the production itself than the music. I don’t know why. I started taking it a bit more seriously in summer 2025, when I started my YouTube channel.
Who got you into making beats in the first place?
- I don’t think anyone got me into producing; it was just me. I’ve always loved learning creative skills like video and photo editing, but I guess I found that I’m best at music production. I could still see myself doing anything else if I wanted to.

Why did you pick the name wingsxrra, and what does it say about you?
- This wasn’t really that deep. The name means nothing, and I made it quickly when I was making my YouTube channel back in summer 2025. I personally don’t like the name much, but now it’s too late to change it, lol. On the other hand, it’s easy to recognize, so it could’ve been worse, I guess.
What’s your favorite type of beat to make?
- As of right now, I mostly enjoy slightly generic indie rock-type beats. I’m not into anything niche currently, but I still drop random type beats if I feel like it.
Why do you think people connect with your beats?
- I think it’s because I had a good raw touch in them. They aren’t as raw as they used to sound, since I’m trying to put more effort into them so they sound more polished, but as I already said, I like doing experimental stuff from time to time, like everyone does.
What’s your favorite beat that you made?
- I don’t have a favorite one. It’s always the current one I’m making that I like the most, then I just get tired of it, lmao.
Which genres do you want to produce next?
- I’m into skramz, midwest emo, shoegaze, and post-hardcore, so maybe stuff like that.
What does a beat session look like for you, from first idea to finish?
- 99% of the time, I hear a song and say, “Aight, I’m gonna make something similar.” So I’ll make a similar chord progression and then finish it off with my own sounds and approach.
Have you ever thought about stepping out as an artist yourself?
- I would only do music for myself, so probably not, but who knows.
Which artists have you produced for so far?
- overtonight, kaysnoto, pooterdabooter, zombiwebz, hurtsick, and many more.
What artists do you want to produce for?
- Probably only the man himself, wifiskeleton (R.I.P.). The other artists I listen to mainly self-produce their songs.
Why should someone who has never heard of you listen to your beats today?
- I’ve heard from multiple people that they just listen to my beats on repeat as if they were songs, so...
